Story
Eitan was discharged from Great Ormord Street Hospital two weeks ago after undergoing open heart surgey for the third time.
We were overwhelmed by all the support, prayers and good wishes from all our fiends and colleagues.
Having a child in hospital undergoing open heart surgery (for the third time) is not a very nice thing but in a perverse kind of way, the experience of being part of all the work done within GOSH for sick children is mind blowing.
Many people have said to us "if you already have to be somewhere, GOSH is the best place to be", nothing is more true than this.
We owe Eitan's life and welbeing to his doctors, Dr Ian Sullivan & Professor Martin Elliott, and their teams. Without them and the hospital, we would be telling a different story.
How do you say thank you to these people? Saying thank you is not enough, thank you, you say if somebody gives you something tangible, not to somebody who saves lives!
Although GOSH is an NHS hospital, they need to raise in excess of £50million on an annual basis to do the great work they do and to continue their ongoing research into helping sick children get better.
Sarah will participate in the women's 5 kilometres run for GOSH on Sunday 7 September. We would like to raise £3,000 for GOSH and with your help we are sure we can. We know it is a big ask and that all of you have been helping us getting through this very difficult time, but if we can raise this amount, we can say a proper thank you to the people who have helped us.
