Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Today I have decided to share this photograph on Facebook and on this Just Giving page. This photograph was taken on the 10th April 2013, exactly 1 year ago. It was the day before my second chemotherapy and I could no longer hide the bald patches. So my friend shaved my head, with my eldest daughter and my 7 year old son looking on. 

We then took the photograph so I could send it to my husband and 13 year old daughter who were away for a few days.

The smile was a genuine one as I had accepted it had to happen. I had also drank a huge glass of wine, which may also have contributed to the smile!

Many dark days followed but I remember my afternoon at Look Good Feel Better as a ray of sunshine on my journey. I came away feeling good about myself and had smiled and laughed all afternoon.
