Sarah Rivera LONDON HALF MARATHON

I'm going to run the East London Half Marathon for Sands. They are the charity that took care of my parents and my brothers and sisters in 2010 when we lost my little sister Phoebe. Sands cared for Phoebe and my parents on the hospital ward, they looked after us at Phoebe's funeral, and they have been there for my parents in the all the days since, offering so much help. I dont think my folks could have gotten through without them.
Sands are there to help anyone affected by the death of a baby, they also fund and promote research to help save young lives. They raise awareness of stillbirth and neonatal death with events such as this exhibition, which many families were involved with last year: (that's my folks in the article)
We still think about Phoebe every day. We miss her a lot. I know there must be many families like ours who have suffered a similar loss, and I want to help in any way possible.
Running a half marathon is probably going to suck. I do not like running at all and have no experience of long distance running. But I think it'll be ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT if I can raise some awareness and a few pounds for this very good cause.
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my page!
