Story
Hi all!
I would like to think of myself as someone who is always smiling. There are however, moments when I do feel down or upset and I am sure this is the case for many of us. When I think of my dear father, I try and remember the good times with all the laughs and jokes i shared with him. However, of course there are some sad moments. Although the down moments are rare and the good memories far outweigh the bad, it gets me thinking, how many other people have those same sad moments like me? And more importantly how many people in the future will have those moments? The former I can do nothing about, but the latter I can at least try to minimise along with your help. As I am sure many of you have already heard, I will be taking part in a White Collar Boxing match on the 17th June 2017 ( 6 weeks away from now) in order to raise money for Cancer research. I have never done boxing before and I am excited about the challenge.
I have chosen to raise money for Cancer Research because it is a charity very close to my heart, given my father was beaten by lymphoma. My mother has also been a victim of cancer but her endless positivity and strength allowed her to be one of the lucky survivors. I know my Dad would be proud of me trying to contribute in any way possible to help find new ways to cure and reduce the suffering of people diagnosed with cancer. Cancer doesn’t just stop when somebody dies, it lives on in the hearts of all their family and friends.
I have now begun my boxing training and I will let you all know how it goes! If you would like to sponsor me, you can do so on this page :). The laughs have already started but If any of you fancy laughing at me on the day, you can also come and watch me take part in this event. Please contact me privately for tickets.
Thank you all so much.
Lots of love
