Life's been good to me so far. Yeah, I've have a couple of knock downs but I still feel lucky! Since turning 40 (not long ago!), becoming healthy has become more important in my life but earlier this year my dear aunt died from breast cancer after a long painful illness. She had managed to fight the disease for a good 12+ years mind you.

This was a very sad event for me and gave me the resolve to pull my finger out and do something. So, I'm doing the Tatton Park Triathlon in cheshire on 20th September 2009 followed by the Nice Marathon on 8th November 2009. These events are made up of the following;

Triathlon: 1,500m swim followed by 40Km bike, followed by 10Km run.
Marathon: 42Km run (or 26 miles).

I'm doing them with my friend Andy Brown, without whom I would never have done any training. Cheers Andy!

I would like to raise some money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity in memory of my late aunt.
