Iraq remains within the top five humanitarian emergencies in the world. Children continue to suffer from the psychological trauma of war and conflict, and access to educational opportunities has been severely constrained. There are around 4.5 million orphans in Iraq mainly due to the Iraq war. Our aim is to raise money to fund a project (through the Iraqi Orphan Foundation) which helps orphans attend higher education as they have no familial financial support to do so.

We will do this initially through our Iraqi Cultural Charity event on Sunday 10th February where we have 13 distinguished artists who have donated artworks for the exhibition. There will also be 2 poets as well as an Iraqi musician.
