This year a team of cyclists made up of members and supporters of the Suffolk Climate Change Partnership (SCCP) will be challenging ourselves to cycle 59 miles around the beautiful countryside of the Suffolk Coast to raise money for the World Land Trust's Bolvian Savanna project.

To follow our route see the Google map at https://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?msid=211061841893825583763.0004d7fe1d223ffcef683&msa=0&II=52.345408,1.513367&spn=0.780206,1.955566

The World Land Trust (WLT) is an international conservation charity based at offices here in Suffolk at Halesworth. The charity works to protect the world's most biologically important and threatened habitats acre by acre.

Our bike ride will be specifically raising money for the Beni Savanna project in Bolivia. The WLT is working in partnership with Bolvian NGO Association Armonia to protect the Beni Savanna in the south western corner of the Amazon basin by extending the existing Barba Azul Nature Reserve. For more information on this project visit www.worldlandtrust.org/projects/bolivia.

The Suffolk Climate Change Partnership is a delivery partner of Suffolk Creating the Greenest County. The Partnership consists of Suffolk's local authorities and the Environment Agency, working together locally with a number of other organisations including Groundwork Suffolk, Sustainability East and University Campus Suffolk. We have a shared interest in supporting Suffolk's communities, businesses and residents to redcue carbon emissions, realise the economic benefits of reducing energy consumption and adapt to the future impacts of climate change. To find out more about SCCP and our work visit www.greensuffolk.org/about/suffolk-climate-change-partnership.

Along our bike ride route we will be dropping in and visiting some of the local businesses that SCCP has supported through our Suffolk Environmental Business Advisor Service. These businesses will include The Ship Inn at Dunwich, The Long Shop Museum at Leiston, Snape Maltings, The Froize Inn at Chillesford, The Caste Inn at Framlingham, Sweffling White House, and Marybelle Dairy at Walpole.
