25th October 2013 I went to play a friendly game of football. In that game I suffered a freak accident that led to me suffering a fractured skull and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). This injury was life threatening and I was lucky to come through this. To celebrate overcoming the year that I have I am hosting a charity event at Bedford Terrace to also thank those that have helped me through this difficult year. The night will include music, buffet and a raffle. On the morning I will be completing a sponsored Olympic Triathlon (10km run, 40km cycle, 1.5km swim) in Billingham Forum. From the accident my family were told I may never use my left side again. I plan to use every inch of that side of my body to complete this Olympic challenge. All money raised from my sponsored Triathlon and charity night will go towards  James Cook Hospital. The hospital that not only saved my life, but also made my recovery possible.
