Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

A team from Oxford have chosen to support the Sobell House Hospice by attempting cycle from Whitehaven to Sunderland along the Sustrans Sea to Sea route.   Starting in the former coal mining and industrial lands of West Cumbria the ride travels through the stunning scenery of the northern Lake District, climbs to the roof of England in Northern Pennines then meanders through old lead mining villages, until it reaches one of Britain's old industrial heartlands to the North Sea and Sunderland.

Many of us know someone who has been affected by cancer. This ride is in memory of Carole Parker who like many others spent the last few days of her life being cared for by the wonderful staff at Sobell House Hospice in Oxford.   They provide a valuable service  supporting and caring for patients with terminal illness and providing vital support to their friends and families.

On bikes are: Sarah Parker, Paul Parker, James Parker, Craig Mitchell, Lucy Scarborough, Darren and Sarah Dawson.  The support team are: Bill Timms, Helen McManners, Kate Eddy and Denise Parker. Please donate generously.

Many thanks for your support.
