Salaam sisters (and brothers),

Over the last week or so I have seen an increasing number of posts, pictures and videos on the atrocities that are happening in Palestine. I am sure I am not alone in feeling helpless over the suffering of our brothers and sisters. What makes the situation worse is that governments and the media are turning a blind eye to everything that is happening. The Palestinian people need our help now more than ever! 

I set this page up so that we can raise some money together inshallah and all proceeds will be donated to the Al Khair Foundation who currently have an Emergency Appeal Gaza. 

Sisters, please sacrifice a little money from your Eid budget - how can we think about new clothes or new shoes when our Ummah is hurting so badly. Please give anything that you can, nothing is too little. 

I will only be collecting for a week - till 17th July 2014 - because the quicker we can get Aid to the Palestine, the more beneficial it will be inshallah. I have set a target of £1000, I do not know if this is realistic or not but please help us get as close to as we can. 

"And whatever you spend or whatever you vow to offer, Allah verily knows it and the evildoers have no helpers" (Al-Baqarah 2:270)
