We support young people in Merton to Improve their skills & provide guidance

Story

Welcome and thank you from Senior Street Sextet for visiting our page.

Senior Street Sextet, with guest artist, guitarist, Dominic Ashworth, is playing an afternoon of Jazz, Blues and Latin Music at All Saints Church, Brudenell Road, Tooting, London SW17 8DQ, on Sunday 22nd May, to raise money for Uptown Youth Services, a UK charity.

Uptown provides support and mentoring to young people - including those with disabilities - in the borough of Merton in a youth club setting. It provides a safe environment to get young people off the streets, to partake in activities such as music, dance, drama, sports, arts and craft and various programmes (eg anti-gang culture, first aid training, inspirational speakers and holiday programmes).

Uptown will use your donations to provide music, dance, computer and other equipment for the young people at their centre.

We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

If you intend to come to the event please confirm on the JustGiving site when you make your donation. Donations can also be made at the door.

Senior Street Sextet - Mike Morey - Alto and soprano sax; Rachel Arthur and Chris Conway-Hughes - tenor sax; Peter Garner - piano and Jules Hewett - bass.

We are very honoured and grateful to have Dominic Ashworth as our guest artist to join us to support the event. He is one of the most respected guitar players in British jazz.

All Saints Church, Brudenell Road, Tooting, London, SW17 8DQ
