Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.

A very special family member very unfortunately lost his little life to sepsis recently this year. I now know how dangerous this illness is, and how quickly it can take away a blessing. Let's help others recognise this and support Sepsis Trust Limited, to further the research and lower the lives lost to this treatable infection!

What Is Sepsis?

Sepsis, also referred to as blood poisoning or septicaemia,  is an invasion of bacteria into the bloodstream. It is potentially life threatening if it is not treated very quickly.

Intensive Care consultant and Chief Executive of the UK Sepsis Trust- "Sepsis is the hidden killer which claims more lives than bowel cancer, breast cancer and prostate cancer combined. Rapid access to healthcare, and reliable delivery of the most basic aspects of care, can save an extra 11,000 lives every year."

LET'S RAISE SEPSIS AWARENESS, LET'S HELP OTHERS!!!!
