2013 marks the 25th anniversary of Serco as a listed company. To celebrate this landmark, Serco employees across the world are coming together with their colleagues and friends under the banner of Serco25 to make a difference, raise funds and have some fun along the way.  Many of our other colleagues here at Serco have already undertaken great events to raise money and we were inspired to follow suit and set ourselves our own challenge -  we couldn’t possibly miss out on all the fun… so back in April, four of us; Lindsay, Fleur, Emily and Corina thought it would be a great idea to set ourselves a challenge in aid of Serco25 and walk 26 miles for charity – gulp : )

We initially thought we would walk 25 miles for 25 years, but a certain someone in the team (ahem Corina) persuaded the rest of us that we couldn’t miss the opportunity of walking the distance of a marathon and to walk the extra mile.

Since then, our walking team has expanded and we have been joined by fellow Serco colleagues Tree, Ann and Annette. We are determined to battle out the 26 miles in September, whatever the weather, which we hope to do in under 9 hours. 

We are well underway with our training and every blister will be worth it in the end!

We will keep you posted with updates over the next couple of months, but in the meantime, please donate to this great cause and help us reach our fundraising target. 
