Story
Hi!
This summer, some 'International Studies' students from Leiden University and students from RMIT in Australia are going to Bosnia for a summer university programme. When we're there, we are going to take part in the Bosnia March for Peace.
We are walking 120km over 3 days, from Tuzla to Srebrenica. This is the route that refugees took to flee the massacre in 1995. But we feel that doing this will not directly help the survivors today and hope to do more.
The effects of the genocide are still felt on women in Bosnia today and so we are further supporting their cause by raising money for women for women international projects in Bosnia-Herzgovina. You can see some of WfWI's work here: http://www.womenforwomen.org/global-initiatives-helping-women/help-women-bosnia-herzegovina.phpPlease donate anything you can. If everyone we know gives £1, we should be able to make a sizable contribution.
