NCH works right across the UK to ensure that thousands of children are brought up in a happy and safe environment. NCH supports children and families living in poverty, disabled children, young carers and we are also a registered adoption and fostering agency. We work with more than 140 000 children and their families every year and with 500 projects we are at the heart of your community. A few facts for you to think about... 3 out of every 5 children in a classroom will have witnessed domestic violence 1 in 3 children in the UK live in poverty 5% of children being fostered or living in care will leave school with no qualifications at all 60 children are born each day with a serious disability These children are amongst the most vulnerable and excluded in our society and NCH gives them the support and opportunities they need to thrive. . A word from The Swimathon Foundation... The Swimathon Foundation has been established to help swimmers and pools become more directly involved with the way their sponsorship money is spent. As an independent charitable trust, we provide grants of up to £5,000 to local charities and not-for-profit organisations which benefit the health and well being of people in the UK.
