Sharla's India Expedition 2016

India Expedition 2016 · 20 June 2016
I am a second year Psychology Student, and practising Buddhist. India and all its culture have always been close to my heart, and I am visiting next year to go and help children and women who are the victims of the tragedy that is HIV/ AIDS. I am raising money both to help get me out there (flights, visas and insurance), but also to donate a large sum of money to the charity that I am going to support: The Russ Foundation.
The Russ Foundation has been running for 23 years, and helps hundreds of people every year. They have a nursery and primary school (where I would help them with their English throughout the trip), and two boarding areas; one for girls and one for boys. All of the children are either CIA (children infected with HIV/ AIDS), or CAA (children affected by HIV/ AIDS). Most of the children there have lost their parents. There are evening tuition centres, health care, nutrition programmes and so much more. All of these things would be impossible without generous donations from the people that support the cause.
As you can see by my target, I have a lot of money to raise, and not a huge amount of time. I would be appreciative of any donations to the cause; be it a penny, a pound, or if you can't donate, a share to your Facebook/ other social media pages. Let's get my story heard!
