On Tuesday 28th December 2010 my Mum, Sharon Chandler, was diagnosed with pneumonia and swine flu and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at the University of North Staffordshire Hospital. She was put into a coma as she was in so much pain. On Wednesday 29th December they lowered her oxygen levels as she was beginning to breathe better for herself; Me, my Brother and my Family were all confident that she'd get better, but in the early evening on December 30th 2010, despite the tremendous efforts of the Staff, we got the heartbreaking news that our perfect Mum had passed away aged just 45 years old. It's her birthday on September 10th, and I wanted to express my thanks to the kind nurses that looked after my Mum and gave her the care that she deserved. To do this, I have decided to be a little crazy and throw myself out of a plane in her memory, wearing my Manchester United shirt of course :-).
I have paid for the skydive myself, all of the money that is raised will go directly to the hospital, doing this will provide more hope for other families who's loved ones are in the position that my Mum was in. I'm jumping on what would be my Mums 46th Birthday, Saturday 10th September 2011.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: the charity will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your donation. Many thanks for your support.
