Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

On Sunday 22nd May 2016, I will be taking part in the Manchester 10k run to raise money for Parkinson's UK. Parkinson's Disease is a progressive neurological disorder which affects 127,000 people in the UK alone, including my mum, who has had the condition for 12 years. At present, there is no cure. Parkinson's UK support sufferers, their families and also fund vital research.

Seeing this debilitating condition take my mum away from me gradually over the past decade has been tough but the courage still shown by her and everyone else with the illness to keep fighting every day is remarkable. Through no fault of their own, they have been affected by Parkinson's which is why it is so crucial that a cure is found.

100% of your donations will go to Parkinson's UK so please give whatever you can. Thank you so much for every penny that you give as it all makes a difference! X
