Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
Zambia is one of the poorest nations on earth. With an average life expectancy of only 32.4 years and 1 in 5 people infected, it is also one of the countries most affected by the HIV/AIDs pandemic. In Zambia, SPW is working in full collaboration with the Ministry of Education and other stakeholders in education as a deliberate part of the Ministry's fight against HIV and AIDs.
In January 2009 I will be going to Zambia with SPW for 8 months. I will mainly be working in a school educating about the prevention of HIV/AIDs as well as working on other issues in the local community.
Any money that you donate today will support the work SPW do in Zambia, South Africa, Uganda, Tanzania, India and Nepal.
If you would like to sponsor a specific day(s) of my trip please make a donation of £20 and let me know the date you would like to sponsor. On this day I will write a postcard to you telling you what I am up to (although I cannot guarantee how long it will take to reach you!!!).
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Students Partnership Worldwide will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
