Between dawn and dusk on September 6th 2010, we'll be braving the water and pounding the trails of the Stockholm archipelago, taking part in Ö till ö - an event which involves running and swimming from the starting point of Sandhamn to the finish line at Utö, 64km away. The swims between the many islands come to a total of 10km, and the runs total 54km, all of which will likely be undertaken in that essential fashion item - the wetsuit. To add some justification to our attempt at this frankly ridiculous distance, we'd like to raise some money for the Alzheimer's Society. They work to improve the quality of life of people affected by dementia in the UK. It's a special cause to both of us, and we'll be taking part in the event in memory of our grandfather Olof Grundberg, who suffered from Alzheimer's disease.
