In memory of Ally Simmons
At Princess Alice Hospice, we provide exceptional end of life care in our hospice and in the community. We know we can’t prevent death, but we do whatever we possibly can to make it the best it possibly can be. But, above all, we believe that hospice care is for living.

Story

Ally sadly passed way peacefully in her sleep with her family by her side on Friday 4th September. She was 44 years old and had been battling gallbladder cancer since last year. She leaves two children aged 12 and 14 years. Ally was particularly loved for her infectious sense of fun, her beautiful smile and the way she mixed her love of the finer things in life with the most down to earth attitude.

The last year was very tough for her, undergoing multiple painful and soul destroying operations.  She spent many weeks in hospital.  Due to Covid restrictions she was often alone, with no visitors. Her greatest fear was that she should would spend her last few weeks in hospital, isolated and in pain.

Thankfully, Princess Alice Hospice were able to help Ally when everyone else had given up.  They allowed her to come home and be with her family, for two precious weeks before she finally passed away.  This page is her way of saying thank you.

Please donate anything you can to the Hospice.
