I will be running the Brighton Marathon on April the 10th 2011 on behalf of INTO Giving who are currently raising funds to build a school and community centre in the township of Lusaka in Zambia.

By 2003, half a million children were orphaned in Zambia as a result of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, and the figure is expected to rise to 1 million in 2010. A UK and Zambain based charity called I-CCO provide education, nutrition healthcare and clothes for orphaned children living in the township around Lusaka. INTO Giving has teamed up with I-CCO to build a school nearer to home for these children which will also provide rooms for much needed counselling, nutrition training and community organisations. Providing access to education in impovrished areas is the most effective way to ensure that children are given real means with which to make their lives better and safeguard their futures. I really hope you will all support me in this incredibly worthwhile cause :-)
