Link believes all children have the right to a good quality education. We work with schools and communities in Ethiopia, Ghana, Malawi and Uganda. By sharing and developing skills we are bringing about long-lasting change, helping over a million children have a better start in life.

Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

We are seven schools in East london (Halley Primary; Central Foundation Girls'; Sir William Burrough Primary; Malmesbury  Primary; Phoenix Primary; Olga Primary and Chisenhale Primary), working in partnership with Unilever and Link Community Development to develop links with seven schools in the Eastern Cape, South Africa.

Our students will collectively be doing a sponsored walk  to raise  awareness for our project and to generate money to provide power to our partner schools through solar panel technology.  We hope that you will support us in making a real difference to these schools.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Link Community Development gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Some of our students and teachers visited their partner schools in South Africa last year.  If you are interested in finding out more about our project feel free to have a look at our photographs at www.flickr.com/photos/24659030@N07/ or  why not have a read of the blog kept by one of our Global Teachers at www.Simanyene.blogspot.com  .

Please sponsor us now! Thank you,

The Simanyene Team

PS. Last year we raised £7,000 so help us do even better this year! Please sponsor us now!  Thank you!
