We raise funds for those in desperate need to help bring some comfort and safety

Story

Harvey was born 6 weeks early in January 2010. In April 2011 he was diagnosed with spastic diplegia cerebral palsy. This condition effects the legs with little or no impact elsewhere, but without adequate management or treatment the damage will continue as he grows. Harvey is unable to balance or walk on his own, and chances are he may never do so.

He had an operation recently called SDR (selective dorsal rhisotomy) in the USA which cuts the nerves that send the wrong signals to his muscles - it's a life changing op for those lucky enough to receive it.

The op was £50k which includes any further orthopedic surgery, physiotherapy, equipment and follow-up appointments. He will now need around two years of intense physiotherapy which may enable him to use his legs more normally.

Along with 3 work colleagues I am going to cycle the South Downs Way from Winchester to Eastbourne to raise money for Harvey's treatment. It's 100 miles of mountain biking, all off ride and includes 13600 feet of ascents and descents.

Thank you for your support.
