We breed and train guide dogs to give blind people freedom and mobility

Story

Well, Sunday was a scorcher in London but it brought the crowds out in force and the support was tremendous. 26 momentous miles and 385 hard yards later, we both crossed the finish line on The Mall. The sense of achievement was incredible - and despite the cramp, blisters and dehydration we have both entered again to run the Virgin London Marathon in 2010, so watch this space.

Robin managed an excellent time of 3:51:18 (beating Ramsey - well done Robster), and I managed 4:44:09 which for my first marathon and considering the conditions I was delighted with.

So, a huge thank you to everyone who has donated via this page and with hard cash. A special thanks to all the amazing efforts of the the staff and pupils at Bablake school who enabled us to raise far more than we ever expected. The money will help the Guide Dogs to continue their amazing work.

If you haven't donated and still want to, it's not too late !!

A big thank-you

Simon and Robin

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
