Story

I DID IT !!!  I survived it, raised over £500, AND passed my race target which was: Finish-Before-The-Giant-Tomato (see photo #3). I'm dead chuffed with an official race time of  60 minutes and 48 seconds.  THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR MORAL SUPPORT  AND YOUR GENEROUS DONATIONS.  I'm now off for a well-earned Isotonic Sports Pie...

=== REMEMBER YOU CAN CONTINUE TO DONATE ONLINE UNTIL THE END OF MAY ===

SUNDAY 09:45 - RACE DAY!!!  We've managed to raise well over £500. I'm overwhelmed. I didn't realise I knew such a lovely bunch of kind and generous people. Thank you all so much. Simon.

FRIDAY 10.30pm WE'RE UP TO £485 !!! YOU ARE ALL FANTASTIC PEOPLE.

FRIDAY 30th APRIL:  WOW !!  OVER £400 !!  THANK YOU ALL. YOU ARE ALL BRILLIANT !!

Hello. Thanks for visiting.

On the 28th of November last year my dad had a huge and unexpected heart attack at home.

He's only here today thanks to the kindness and skill of a neighbour who administered first aid, and the paramedic and ambulance team who arrived so quickly and did not give up with the resuscitation. The staff at Kings Lynn hospital were excellent and deserve mention too. We know we are very lucky that dad survived.

Earlier in that same November I'd started jogging to get fit, and had entered for the Grand East Anglian Run. This is a six mile race (gulp!) around King's Lynn on Sunday 2nd May. Pretty daunting to a newbie jogger like me. See all the gory details at www.greateastangliarun.co.uk (I'm entrant number 11).

Anyway, through doing this run, I'd like to raise some money for the East Anglian Ambulance Service who do a marvellous job across Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. Their charity fund goes towards the First Responder scheme and the bicycle paramedics.

So, go on, please pledge a quid or two; none of us know when the First Responder or Paramedic might next save someone close to us.

Many many thanks

Simon
