The Sunnybank Trust supports adults with learning disabilities in the North East Surrey area to live without prejudice and have confidence, opportunities and control over their own lives. We celebrate our differences and believe that everyone in our community should be included and respected.

Story

Forty years ago, a dyslexic lay-preacher in Epsom had an idea.

Tom discovered that many adults and children with learning disabilities didn’t have any form of social life and were excluded from society.

So, he decided to do something about it.

He started The Sunnybank Trust to improve the lives of those in the local community.

That man is my father, Tom Rhind-Tutt MBE.

Today, The Sunnybank Trust supports over 250 adults of all ages with learning disabilities to; develop self-confidence, have a voice in decisions made for and about them, learn new skills and nurture new relationships that ease loneliness and isolation.

The COVID 19  crisis make their work more important than ever.

They need our support to maintain and provide increasingly more services.

I’ve been inspired by my dad’s passion to help people and I too want to make a difference.

I have committed to Walk 40 MILES, IN ONE DAY, from the banks of the river Thames in Surbiton Surrey, to the banks of the Thames in Gravesend Kent on Sunday 26th July

The Sunnybank Trust and I are asking for your help to sponsor me on this challenging journey.

Whatever you can spare will be hugely appreciated.

Below are details of ‘The Sunnybank Trust’ and a link to a clip from ITV news which recently ran story on this amazing charity.

With your help let’s make those 40 miles really matter.

Thank you

Simon
