EMCC Legend Gayan Sirisoma's mother Thusitha went into hospital for a bypass heart problem on 17th October 2019. The estimated cost was 1 Million Sri Lankan Rupees (approx £4.5k) but unfortunately she didn't recover as expected and has been in the Intensive Care Unit at Sri Jayawardenapura General Hospital in Sri Lanka since.

She passed away on 6th November 2019 with the final bill at 3.7 Million Sri Lankan Rupees (£15,860) which has obviously wiped out the family savings and Gayan has needed to take a loan to pay the remaining 1 Million Rupees which he needs to pay in order to access the body.

Gayan has been in touch with me for weeks updating me on how his mother is and has been in the impossible position of seeing his mum's condition deteriorate whilst having a healthcare bill rise to extortionate levels due to the ventilation & oxygen machines which she has required.

Gayan still holds EMCC warmly in his hearts and visited us last summer. Any help we can give him in this time of need would be greatly appreciated.
