On July 25th of this year Clare Bernal would have been turning 28 years old.  Sadly Clare was taken from us by the hands of an ex boyfriend who relentlessly stalked her until September 13th 2005.  On that night at the Harvey Nichols dept store just before closing Clare was shot dead.

Clare and I met at the Hoopers dept store in Tunbridge Wells where we both worked.  From my 1st day Clare and I became great friends.  Always taking lunch breaks together and going to gym after work work to burn off our "Pizza Hut Buffet" lunches!

Clare's mother Tricia is a driving force behind "Protection Against Stalking"  It never ceases to amaze me what a wonderful person Tricia is.  A woman who has been through so much but continues to be the most inspiring person I have ever met.

Please help me play a little roll in the continuing success of this charity.  A dedicated phone line service was set up help victimes of stalking, since being set up last year over 1,500 people have called the line seeking advice and help to escape the dangers of stalking. 

It's impossible to say what the outcome may have been should Clare have had the advice that is now available, sadly that is something that is too late to know. 

So, on the 14th of August I will be skating 26.2 miles at the Goodwood Roller Marathon.  Whatever you can spare would be greatly appreciated!
