Hi everyone
Just back from an absolutely wonderful experience in China. My knees have just recovered from 1 1/2 days trekking on the Great Wall where weclimbed 39 watch towers and completed the last 8km in a thunder storm complete
with lightening. The Chinese are a friendly race with an overall happy disposition. They are absorbing western ways at an alarming rate and I hope that they do not lose all of their own culture and traditions along the way.
I was invited to join in Line Dancing and a kind of Frisbee throwing by some of the older Chinese doing their morning exercises and I also joined insome Tai Chi in The Temple of Heaven park in the centre of Beijing. This is something that has to be experienced, over 1000 Chinese people scattered through the park doing all types of exercise, Chi Gong, Tai Chi, Tai Chi swords, Tai Chi with fans, line dancing, ballroom dancing, stretching, walking up and down steps, playing badminton whatever they choose and all of them over 50 and this is before 9.00 a.m.
