Ollie's Sky Dive 'n' Cycle Challenge

Oliver Matthews is raising money for The Rose Road Association

Sky Dive 'n' Cycle Challenge · 12 September 2021

Rose Road works with children, young people and their families from across Hampshire and the surrounding area. The children who attend Rose Road have multiple and complex health needs and we believe in valuing individuals, celebrating achievement and respecting the choices of our young people.

Story

Hi, I’m Ollie and I am going to jump out of a plane and endure a week of cycle commuting torture to raise money for the Rose Road Association. My initial plan was to just sky dive but I realised my friends and family know I would have had too much fun doing so!

On the 12th September I will be skydiving at Old Sarum airfield from a height of 15,000ft! Also, to add some jeopardy I will cycling to work from Totton to Havant and back everyday in the week leading up to the jump. This would mean I will have cycled around 300 miles in the 5 days before the skydive.

I have chosen to fundraise for Rose Road because of the vital support they provide for children with disability and their families. This has been harder felt in the last year or so with Covid having affected people in care more intensely.
