Paula & Emma's SkyDive

SkyDive · 16 June 2022
After so many things being restricted over the last couple of years, I for one was desperate for something to look forward to.
When myself and my friend saw that Barnsley Hospital was giving us the opportunity to do a skydive to raise funds for their Make a Memory Appeal, we jumped (excuse the pun) at the chance. Not only will we be raising much needed funds for a cause that is so important, as I’m sure we all know someone who has been affected by Dementia in one way or another. But we also get to Make a Memory of our own that will stay with us forever. Jumping from 15,000ft up in the skies, free falling at 125mph for 1 minute before that parachute opens!!
Please help and support us on this daring challenge by donating to this fantastic cause and help us to make a difference to those who really need our support.
Transforming our care of the elderly ward by providing a homely, calm and relaxing environment which supports all patients particularly those with dementia. We want to provide an environment that goes over and above - with a less clinical, more homely and welcoming space. The transformation will provide bright, calming and relaxing areas which promote social interaction, independence and mobility. For patients with dementia this will mean a better experience of being in hospital.
