Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page, for Matt 'Smudge' Smith in his attempts to break the 400 mile mark during a solo 24 hour time trail cycle event - Whilst fundraising money for a worthy cause in the Midlands Air Ambulance.

Some of you will be aware that Matt competed in this event last year, completing a respectable 397 miles...  A mere 3 miles of his target of 400 miles!

In 2014 it was the very first attempt at such a monumental task, and all involved were proud of Matt's amazing effort!  ...But, to be just 3 miles short of the target has had such a profound effect on both Matt and the support team, that much so that they couldn't resist the pull of the CTT National 24 Hour Time Trial Championship.  An event that finds its home at this years Mersey Roads.

To iron out some issues experienced in 2014, the team have drafted in a new member in the form of Jim Millward from Dietmetric, for his expert advice on nutrition

The event will take place on the 18th and 19th of July 2015 and the support team will be set up on the roundabout, in Prees Heath, junction with the A41/A49.  The postcode for the location is SY13 3JT.

All support on the day will be welcome - For both Matt and his team!
