Story

YES REALLY! :-)

If this has made you laugh...then put your money where your mouth is!
I can't tell you how much I would appreciate your sponsorship, as it will help motivate me to stay on the wagon....

I am not an alcoholic, but in terms of units per week (particularly in the summer months) the British government guidelines might beg to differ... ;-)

I've decided to do this, genuinely to see what happens. As a non driver (yet), eternal party enthusiast and barwench (for many years)... I've never had any reason to turn down a drink, so I haven't.
What's it like going to a party completely sober? Drinking soft drinks in a pub? I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA!

Will I drop 3 stone in 3 weeks? Will I begin to prioritise success over hedonism? Will I hate drunk people? What's it like to not be hungover?! ;-)

Who knows what's going to happen?! Perhaps I'll get to July and decide I prefer being sober... or perhaps I will make up for lost time the rest of the summer! :-D Whatever the outcome, I promise not to become one of those crashing bores constantly banging on about sobriety! YAWN!

This is a cause extremely close to my heart...please, please donate generously! xxx

Nacoa - The National Association for Children of Alcoholics is a registered charity founded in 1990 to address the needs of children growing up in families where one or both parents suffer from alcoholism or a similar addictive problem.

About the charity

1 in 5 children in the UK are affected by their parents' alcohol problems. They are often frightened and isolated, with no one to turn to for help. Nacoa responds by providing a free, confidential telephone, 1-2-1 chat and email helpline.
