I've chosen to run for Age UK BANES having volunteered for intergenerational projects run by charities including Age UK and LinkAges for the past 5 years. I'm looking forward to further supporting their work to combat the complex and important issues of social isolation and loneliness often experienced by older people. 

Age UK gives older people opportunities to live healthier lives, build friendships and stay as independent as possible for as long as possible. They also offer information and advice and give practical and emotional support. With your support they can be there for older people in our community when they need it. Our message is simple: Live Healthy. Live happy. Live independent.
