2012 saw cover band, Showdown start what is to be one of the biggest fundraising music festivals for cover bands - CoverFest.

The concept is simple - one day, one venue and some of the best local cover bands. Raffles, prizes and auctions - all to raise funds for Velindre Cancer Centre.

This year, as well as CoverFest running again, a new challenge is being undertaken. I am asking people to please sponsor me to have the Velindre Cancer Centre's logo tattooed on myself.

Velindre Cancer Centre is a local Welsh Charity which works for the relief of sickness of patients suffering from cancer or its effects that are or have been treated at Velindre Hospital. It also funds research into of the causes of cancer and the prevention, cure, treatment and defeat of cancer in all its forms.
