I am running the Great North Run for the British Hen Welfare Trust. I learnt about the wonderful work they do when I adopted 4 little battery hens who had given and given and given for their whole short lives while being kept in horrendous conditions and had then been discarded. Without the bhwt these little birds would never know freedom. To know what its like to walk on grass, to see the sky or to experience kindness or compassion. Thank you for anything you can donate.
