Opening in 1963, Southend Samaritans has been supporting the local community for over 60 years. We have over 80 volunteers some having been with us for more than 40 years. We’re here, day or night, for anyone who’s struggling to cope, who needs someone to listen without judgement or pressure. Every life lost to suicide is a tragedy, and Samaritans’ vision is that fewer people die by suicide.
