Spitfire March · 26 May 2013

The Mark Evison Foundation aims to promote leadership qualities in young people. The Foundation has been created to offer support to young individuals to wish to actively pursue their own physical, mental and personal development to help develop their potential over a period of time.

Story

On Sunday 26th May, a group of senior-ranking NCOs from the Alleyn's School CCF will be taking part in the 35th annual Folkestone Spitfire March.

The march is over 42km and passes by the memorial to those who did not return from the Battle of Britain over the English Channel.

We will be raising money for the Mark Evison Foundation. This is a charity which is very significant to us. It was set up as a memorial to Lt Mark Evison from Dulwich who died in 2009 from a gunshot wound while serving as a British army officer in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. It works to promote the personal, mental and physical development of young people.

Donations will be greatly appreciated.

Cdt Regimental Sergeant Major Hayden
