The Springboard Charity help people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life with barriers into employment to gain the skills, knowledge, confidence and experience needed to forge a successful career in hospitality. We change lives by giving people the tools to lift themselves out of poverty and we inspire young people to enter the wonderful world of hospitality.

Our training is tailored to the individual needs of the person, ensuring they get the most out of the experience and are ready for employment when they move on to work experience, a placement or a permanent job.

In response to the lockdown, Springboard acted quickly to adapt our training, making several modules accessible online, as well as placing emphasis on our resilience, confidence building and mindfulness modules, to support the mental health of our trainees during a very turbulent time. Trainees have also continued to receive 1-2-1 mentoring, employment advice and guidance from our team during lockdown via phonelines, messaging and email. We hold webinars, group workshops and discussion sessions to prevent the feeling of isolation. 

COVID-19 is having a devastating impact on hospitality and on people’s lives. Springboard needs urgent help to continue providing crucial support services to people from disadvantaged backgrounds who are relying on us, more than ever before, to keep them engaged, motivated and able to access our services.  

When this lockdown is over, Springboard will be vital to help rebuild and heal the hospitality industry.
