Story
Anna was an extraordinary person. A passionate, creative and dedicated academic with a clear vision of how her work might change lives for the better. A supportive and inspiring colleague. A warm, funny and supportive friend. And above all, a generous, loving and nurturing mother, sister, daughter and partner. In her short life she achieved an almost unbelievable amount and touched hundreds of lives.
Anna was though also humble and would have been amazed and quietly delighted at the glowing tributes and the outpouring of love, grief and warm reflection that have followed her death. A number of people have asked how they might best pay tribute to Anna and this page is part of the answer. In lieu of flowers or any other gifts, we would ask that you consider making a donation to Hospiscare.
The end of Anna's life came much more quickly than any of us expected. Hospiscare provided wonderful, expert, warm and profoundly human care to Anna and her immediate family in those last days. They enabled Anna and Simon to re-commit to their marriage in a beautiful ceremony which included an exchange of rings between Anna, Simon, Hugo and Ella. They gave us all some peace of mind, which made the end of Anna's life more bearable and allowed us all to take those final steps together with dignity and grace.
In memory of our extraordinary Anna Craft, please do consider making a donation to Hospiscare.
Simon, Hugo, Ella and all of Anna's family
