Story

Hello Friends and Family

This will be my 5th year participating in Race for Life. Each year I share that the reason for me taking part is because I have had many close people in my life affected by cancer over the years.

This year I am taking part in support of my dearest and closest friend Ginny Fraser - we have been friends for 18 years. Ginny has recently been diagnosed with melanoma in her lung. In 2001, as many of you know, Ginny was given 6 months to live having been diagnosed with Stage IV metastasised melanoma - at that time she had it in her brain, lung, spleen and stomach. Ginny made the most incredible recovery due to the journey she took to get better, and the miraculous healing of herself.

Ginny has touched my life in a way that I cannot even put into words, and I know many others share that view. She is truly inspirational!

I hope therefore to raise as much money as I can to help fund Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer.

So please do sponsor me if you can. Every pound you donate really does make a difference. It's quick, easy and totally secure to do it online. If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box when donating.

Many thanks for your support and much love
