Thank you for visiting my British Heart Foundation London to Brighton Bike Ride Fundraising Page.

As you may know, I did the London to Brighton Bike Ride for the first time last year in memory of my mother-in-law who we sadly lost earlier that year to heart disease. Thank you very much to all those who sponsored me and helped me reach my target of 1000 spondoolicks! You are fantastic and the thought of all that support really kept me going when I wanted to give up. Which was pretty much all the time!

I am doing the ride again this year and am hoping that you, and some new people, will sponsor me again. What have I done to deserve yoru support again this year? Well, this year I have recruited four other people who have not done the ride before and, since March, I have been dragging two of their sorry butts around Hyde Park, Richmond Park and Amersham every weekend in an attempt to ensure they don't humilate themselves. I can assure you this is a pretty hopeless group of old men with little or no experience of exercise and no practical experience of cycling 54 miles (or anything like it).
