Story
Dear family, friends and anyone who gets this email….
I would firstly like to tell you a bit about myself. I am 15 years old and I love sports and am a very outgoing girl. I like being involved with special needs kids and I love every moment I have a chance to be with them especially as it gives me a chance to appreciate what Hashem has given me e.g. my hair and all my organs that work Baruch Hashem.
I am cutting my hair on the 25th of November and giving it to an organisation called ‘Zichron Menachem’. They organise wigs for kids who have cancer and have lost their hair from the treatment.
I wanted to give something that means so much to me but would mean even more to someone else!
One of the kids who had cancer had once said to me the hardest part was the pointing and whispering behind their back. I want to make that different.
I also had a madricha in camp who survived cancer, her strength made me think and gave me courage, which I want to pass on to someone else.
One last thing, I would love to make my grandmother proud of me since she died last year fighting cancer.
Since I have long hair I would love to give it away in memory of my grandmother.
£1000 = 1 wig. Every penny= 1 step closer!
Thank you!!
With love
Esther Rietti
