Story
Thanks so much for visiting my just giving page.
As you’ll no doubt be aware I’m taking on the challenge of the Kilt walk 2023 something completely out of my comfort zone.
The reason I have chosen to fundraise for Addison's Disease Self-Help Group is down to the most important person in my life - my fiancé Johnathan. From the moment he came into my life he has taught me many things and a good few are about his condition, how it affects him, how rare it is, how to confidently administer life saving medication to him during a crisis and just how little knowledge there is out there even amongst medical professionals like GPs and paramedics
The NHS currently state only approximately 8400 people in the UK are currently diagnosed with Addison’s - that’s only One Hundredth of a percent!!
Addison's Disease Self-Help Group Are a wonderful charity that offer support to those suffering Addisons, those people in their lives and also work so hard to spread awareness of this condition both generally and in medical professional settings.
People with Addisons are absolutely inspirational because there are many many barriers they need to break through on a daily basis - I’ll be posting more images/videos on here talking more about different ordeals that these warriors experience on a daily basis!
So to help Addison's Disease Self-Help Group I would ask that for this one long day where I’m going to be pushing myself to walk these 20 miles anything you could spare to this cause would be amazing. Every penny goes to a great cause! (The how to is below)
