St. Gemma's Hospice provides specialist medical and nursing care to local people with life threatening illnesses, predominantly cancer. Based in Moortown, Leeds, St. Gemma's is the largest hospice in West Yorkshire and cares for over 1000 people and their families each year.

As many of you will be aware Karen passed away peacefully in St. Gemmas on Tuesday 12 August. She was surrounded by all her loving family and died after a very long, hard battle with cancer. Words cannot express how much she will be missed by all whose lives were touched by Karen. In memory and by way of Karen's wishes Finola and I completed the Skydive on Saturday 11 October in Bridlington. The day was a complete success and was attended by many of Karen's family and friends. Our lives will never be the same without Karen, but it helps us smile when we think of how much she was loved by those closest to her and highly regarded by all who knew her.
