Steve is Fundraising for Cats Protection Newbury

Steve's Bike Ride · 2 July 2011
Steve is cycling a leg of the tour de France course, entered by many every year before the actual competion. It's called La Marmotte and it's not for the faint hearted.
The route is a staggering 108 miles, with a 5180 metres of climbing and all in one day.
And it is all for a good cause, Newbury Cats Protection.
Steve a professed Dog lover, met one Sharlie the siamese, rescued her and has been a cat convert ever since!
Cats Protection newbury branch has been rescuing and re-homing cats since 1965. In 1994, thanks to the kindness of the branch's founder Mrs Irene Earnshaw, they were able to open a purpose built 42 pen Adoption Centre. They currently find loving homes for around 500 cats and kittens every year
Our shelter roof is coming to the end of it's life so they money donated here will help pay for a much needed new roof to keep our feline occupants cosy and dry while they're waiting to go to their forever homes.
Charities pay a small fee for our service. Learn more about fees
