Aberdeen Kiltwalk 2025 · 1 June 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Shopmobility/Able Deen can be found on parking level one of Union Square, previously being based underneath St Nicholas House. They have been lending out mobility scooters, wheelchairs and other mobility aids to help people with disabilities get around Aberdeen City Centre for over 30 years. In 2024 they were awarded the King's Award for Voluntary Service.
Under the brand name Able Deen, they also visit the Beach, Seaton Park and several neighborhoods across the city with a mobile unit to support people with disabilities to retain their independence.
Shopmobility delivers their service from about 30 volunteers, supported by to members of staff and a voluntary board. Last year they were kindly donated a. new vehicle and I am raising funds through this event to help them get the new vehicle up and running and to support the day to day cost of delivering their services.
As someone who has been living. with Parkinson's for a number of years I have signed up for the 4 mile walk rather than tthe full 18 miles. Please give what you can by way of sponsorship as even a few pounds helps.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
