Erskine Hospital · 22 August 2014

As Scotland’s foremost provider of care for veterans and their spouses, Erskine offer unrivalled nursing, residential, respite and dementia care in four homes throughout Scotland for UK veterans. Erskine must raise in excess of £10M in voluntary income annually to ensure we maintain this standard.

Story

2014 marks the centenary of the Great War. On the 22nd of August, at midnight, I will carry a single poppy from George Square, Glasgow, to the Thiepval War Memorial in Northern France. The poppy will be carried by motorcycle through Scotland, England, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Lichtenstein, Italy, Belgium and France, covering over 3000 road miles before being placed in honor of those who sacrificed so much. All proceeds will be donated to Erskine hospital, who look after injured servicemen and women.

Give what you can, and thank them for the sacrifice they have made for us.

All gave some. Some gave all.
