Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

Dear all

Last year I took part in the first ever Prudential Surrey Ride 100 Cycling Sportif.  It was an amazing experience with closed roads through London, out through the Surrey hills and back to the Mall.  We rode the full 100 miles past endless cheering crowds and raised, thanks to your generosity, a significant sum of money. The team as a whole raised over 50k and I raised £1500.

The link below can tell you more. Scroll down for the Google Maps link. http://www.prudentialridelondon.co.uk/The_Events/Prudential_RideLondon-Surrey_100/Route.htm

I was invited to build a team for this year and I have press ganged willing friends and colleagues who will be a great gang to ride 100 miles with on August 10.

But it isn't just a "jolly".  We need your help to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK.   Today, men have a 1 in 7 chance of getting Prostate Cancer! PCUK have done and are doing great work to help and combat this disease:

Ok, so it is a bit of a jolly too. But a great cause!  To those of you that contributed last year can I say again thank you, and then ask for a contribution for this year:) If you didn't get a chance to contribute last year can I request your help and support.

I did have a fundraising idea. If you want me to cycle to your house to collect a (negotiated) contribution I would love the challenge. So there you go. The gauntlet has been waved.  August 10 is the big day.  Im off to do some training!
